Google Ads – Promotional Codes (Coupons)

Google and our partners sometimes distribute promotional codes for Google Ads. These special offers can be used to redeem credit that gets applied to your Google Ads account. This article explains how to redeem your offer and track its status. 

Before you begin

You will need to enter a payment method.
If you’d like to use monthly invoicing, be sure to set up that setting before entering your code. Otherwise, your offer will be invalidated and the amount lost when you switch to invoicing.

Where to enter your promotional code

1. Sign in to your Google Ads account.
2. Click the tools icon and choose Billing & payments.
3. Click Settings from the menu on the left.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page, then click Manage promotional codes.
5. Enter your promotional code.
6. Click Save.

Check your progress

To see how close you are to earning your credit, visit the promotional code management page in your account. It’s updated every few hours. You’ll be able to quickly check your progress and the status of any credit, and see your completed or expired promotions. Here’s how to get there:

1. Sign in to your Google Ads account.
2. Click the tools icon  and choose Billing & payments.
3. Click Settings from the menu on the left.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page, then click Manage promotional codes.
5. On the “Active promotions” card, you will see the progress bar for current codes.
6. Your completed or expired promotions are found on the “Completed promotions” card.
